Dr. Phil Pearl’s Podcast on Metabolic Epilepsies

Phillip L. Pearl, MD is Director of Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology and William G. Lennox Chair in the Department of Neurology at Boston Children’s Hospital and Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Pearl has published over 275 manuscripts, over 100 chapters and reviews, and authored or edited five books in the field of child neurology, two of which have been translated into Chinese and Japanese. Dr. Pearl is Co-Editor in Chief of the 7th Edition of Swaiman’s Pediatric Neurology (2025), the standard text in the field. His major research interest is inherited metabolic epilepsies. Dr. Pearl is Past President of the Professors and Educators of Child Neurology and of the Child Neurology Society.

Dr. Pearl has been working with SSADH patients and the SSADH Association for the past 25 years.  We are fortunate that Dr. Pearl remains instrumental as a clinician and continues to work diligently with researches to find a treatment for our community.
